First, I am a wife and mother. Second, and a very close second, I am a CREATOR. I love art, design, fashion and color. I would die without it. I make art everyday.

Have you seen one of these before?
Found this at a rummage sale a few days before I left Tucson. I use it every day and have been keeping my eyes peeled for more like it... I'd love to collect them.

Rainboots
Never owned rainboots in my life. I am more of a beat-up cowboy boot kinda gal. But I need them. I have been wearing flipflops on rainy days. So, after much research, and a budget, I chose these:
Now, keep in mind I do a lot of walking, I am a dorky mother, and I need them to look cute with my wacky wardrobe. Brace yourself- they're Crocs. I never wanted to own Crocs or support those ghastly plastic, anti-microbial shoes. But, I think they'll work for me. I hope they're cute on... what do you think?

A Cupcake Weekend
It was a LONG weekend of family celebrations in our new city.
Saturday was Maggie's first birthday. We celebrated with a storytime in our neighborhood park with 3 books and music by Larry. It was very special. Then we went home with a few friends for cupcakes.
And today is My birthday. 34 has me a little depressed. The shock of the number change will be over soon. I couldn't even remember my age a couple times this year. Was I 32, 33 or had I already turned 34? Silly. Anyway, birthday decorations come down tomorrow morning and back to the routine.
These lovely cupcakes were a gift! Aren't they gorgeous? From a hip, local cupcake/coffee joint. I had my first lavendar cupcake. Did I tell you I am growing lavendar in my garden? That's another blog, I guess...
